Sisimpur, which was launched in 2005 with the aim of making the learning of pre-primary and primary level children enjoyable and enjoyable, is in its 17th year, the 15th of this month. April 15 is celebrated as 'Sisimpur Day' every year as the first on aired day of Sisimpur.
Sisimpur through its television programs and various printed materials helps the child to recognize letters, to identify letters from words, to match words with letters, to form sentences with words. Finding materials from the surrounding environment helps them to recognize letters and words through them. For example: house, banana, mango, table, clock, cow, tree, leaf, pen, book, etc. The child's acquaintance with different words starts with a letter, it is taught in the game. Through the characters of Sisimpur, names of different shapes, names of colors etc. are taught from different elements of the environment. Sisimpur has always taken the issue of correct pronunciation of Bangla language seriously. And so in Sisimpur's Muppet, Manavacharitra, even in all types of animated television episodes, special emphasis is given to the correct pronunciation of each according to the character, so that the children get a chance to listen and practice standard Bangla through this program. At the same time, the language, traditions and way of life of different regions are also highlighted. So that the children are equally respectful of the people of different regional languages and cultures.
Currently, the 13th season of Sisimpur is being promoted. The popular show is being aired on Duronto, Maasranga and BTV. However, the continuous broadcasting of Sisimpur on Bangladesh Television from the very beginning for the last 16 years is a significant event, which is the result of the sincere efforts of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Television Authority and Sisimpur. About one crore viewers across the country are enjoying the show through three televisions.
Sisimpur has become one of the major attractions for children at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair every year. Every Friday-Saturday and on holidays, children flock to the fair to have fun with Ikri, Halum, Tuktuki and Shiku. Which has already become one of the events of Amar Ekushey Book Fair. However, due to the Corona epidemic, Sisimpur has been refraining from organizing this year. However, if the Corona situation improves, Sisimpur has plans to conduct various community-based activities.
