University unit Md. Rezaul Islam Sekendar has been elected as a member of the
sub-committee on information and research of Bangladesh Awami League.
Rezaul Islam Sekendar, the ace Chhatra League leader was a frontline student activist in protesting against army backed caretaker government takeover to restore democracy in the country.
He started student activism as an executive member of Chhatra League’s Jhenidah City College unit.
Central leaderships of Chhatra League and Jhenidah District Awami League applauded Rezaul Islam Sekender’s recent post in Awami League’s sub-committee.
Dr. Salim Mahmud, the central Information and Research Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League confirmed about the Rezaul Islam Sekendar’s post in the committee.
Ruling Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday approved the party’s information and research sub-committee formed with former Rajshahi University vice-chancellor Sayeedur Rahman Khan as its chairman and AL information and research secretary Dr. Selim Mahmud as the member-secretary.
