A fire broke out at a residential hotel in the capital's Shahzadpur at around noon on Monday. The fire has killed four people.
However, the identity of the four deceased could not be confirmed initially, the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) said.
According to the media wing of the FSCD, the fire broke out on the second floor of the six-story Saudia Residential Hotel at around 12:15pm. On information, two firefighting units reached the spot and brought the fire under control at around 1pm. One body was found inside a bathroom on the sixth floor, while three bodies were found at the foot of the stairs.
