National Film Award winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo will be been seen as a fairy on TV screen. The name of the play is 'Pori' (Fairy). It is scripted by Junaid Rashid and directed by Morshed Himadri Himu. Zillur Rahman Jewel, the producer of the play, said that the shooting of the play has been completed on April 1 and 2 in the capital's old Dhaka. The story of the play revolves around the fairy. Jewel has also confirmed that it will be aired on NTV in next Eid.
Zakia Bari Mamo said about acting in the play, “I am acting in the title role of this play. Since the story of it revolves around me, I have had to put in a lot of effort; I have had to work hard to portray the character properly. We shot at old Dhaka in the scorching heat. Everyone tried to finish the job with a lot of sincerity. I hope the work has been very good. Let's see how much the audience like it.”
Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Imtiaz Barshan, Monirul Islam and many others have acted in different roles in the play 'Pori'.
Meanwhile, the movie 'Sfulingo' directed by Tauquir Ahmed and starring Mamo was released on March 26.
Mamo is not working at the moment as the lockdown has started. She said, “Honestly, corona can only be prevented if we are all as aware of our position as possible. It is especially important that we wear the mask. Many of us do not have the habit of wearing a mask, but it is very important to wear. One by one we are losing our loved ones. I don't want to lose anymore. May Allah have mercy on us.”
