ATM Shamsuzzaman, a well-known actor, storyteller and director, has passed away a few days ago. Towards the end of his life he acted in a serial drama under the direction of SA Haque Alik. Dilara Zaman, Salahuddin Lavlu, Apurba and many others also acted in that play. He tried to sing with the guitar in his hand at the location of the drama. Everyone on the set requested him to sing a song. ATM Shamsuzzaman was overjoyed to hear that from everyone. He wanted to record a song. But before that, he passed away.
Many hopes and dreams of human life remain unfulfilled. ATM Shamsuzzaman has been soaked in the love of millions of people in this country. He left with that love. He will survive in the drama and movies he has acted in for generations.
Actress Mousumi wanted to make a movie based on the story written by ATM Shamsuzzaman. That is why a few months before the death of ATM Shamsuzzaman, Omar Sani-Mausumi visited ATM Shamsuzzaman's house in Sutrapur of the capital.
Mausumi said, “I really wanted a movie about a story written by ATM uncle. But his sudden death did not fulfill my dream. This dream will never be fulfilled. It is very difficult to think. Because, I wanted a story close to his life. I will never get that story again. May Allah bless him in heaven.”
