Jewellers have decreased the price of gold by Tk 2,100 to Tk 1,14,190 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a reduction in the price of pure gold on the local market.
The Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) made the downward adjustment at a meeting held on Tuesday (April 23).
Fresh prices would come into effect this afternoon, the association said in a press release.
The price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk 9,790 per gram, 21-carat at Tk9,345 per gram, 18-carat gold at Tk8,010 per gram, and traditional gold at Tk6,448 a gram.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk180 per gram, Tk172 for 21-carat silver, Tk147 for 18-carat silver, and Tk110 for traditional silver.
Earlier, On April 23, Jewellers have decreased the price of gold by Tk 3,137 to Tk 1,16,290 per bhori.
