The price of high-quality precious yellow metal dropped by Tk 1,878 per bhori on Thursday (May 2) afternoon.
Good quality gold of 22-carat stood at Tk 1,09, 163 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a reduction in the price of pure gold on the local market.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) adjusted the price at a meeting on Thursday, reads a press release.
The price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk9,359 per gram, 21-carat Tk 8,933 per gram, 18-carat Tk 7,657 per gram and traditional gold Tk 6,368 a gram.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 180 per gram, Tk 172 for 21-carat silver, Tk 147 for 18-carat silver, and Tk 110 for traditional silver.
