Jewellers have revised the tariff of gold for the ninth time in April as the price of the high-quality precious yellow metal dropped by Tk 630 per bhori on Saturday (April 27) afternoon.
However, the traditional gold price was hiked by Tk 2,041 per bhori.
Good quality gold of 22-carat stood at Tk 1,12,931 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a reduction in the price of pure gold on the local market.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) came up with the decision at a meeting on Saturday, reads a press release.
The price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk 9,682 per gram, 21-carat Tk 9,242 per gram, 18-carat Tk 7,922 per gram and traditional gold Tk 6,588 a gram.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk180 per gram, Tk172 for 21-carat silver, Tk147 for 18-carat silver, and Tk110 for traditional silver.
