He said, those who were in power after 75 did not give any allocation for research. Research We had no allocation. Our initial budget was small. I give money for research from there. Later, when I gave the budget, I allocated 100 crores in bulk. That was in computer education and research. We had only one agricultural university. I also make some agricultural universities. Also, 16 private universities, establishment of Novotheater, Sea Research Institute, Air Technology Institute, all these were started during the Awami League government period.

When we formed the government in 2009, we increased the allocation for education and research. From 2010 we started giving free books. Many have thought that how is this possible? We have made the impossible possible. From 2010 to 2024, we have distributed 464 lakh 29 thousand 883 crore textbooks for free.

In the budget, the largest allocation is given to the education sector.

Sheikh Hasina said, I don't believe that one should be afraid of criticism. Self-esteem and confidence give people strength. I will tell the students that this is always something to think about. No need to shed tears and hide your face because of who said what, learn from your own faith. Then you can move this country forward.

The head of government said, we got our freedom through lakhs of martyrs, there have been many conspiracies to thwart freedom. Above all we are moving forward. Must go further. Today's Bangladesh has been recognized as a development role model to the world. Some people don't always like something. And does not want to get better.
