Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSad-Inu) has announced its party manifesto for the 12th national election.
General Secretary Shirin Akhtar released the JaSad election manifesto at the Colonel Taher Auditorium of the party's central office in the capital’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Saturday at 11am.
In the manifesto, the party pledged to fight in parliament and on the streets to suppress the looter-corrupt syndicates that control the state-politics-economy-market, to ensure good governance and rule of law, to end discrimination-deprivation, and to continue national development by uprooting Bangladesh's native enemies in the spirit of the liberation war.
A total of 66 candidates nominated by JaSad are contesting in the 12th national election. Among them, 63 party candidates are contesting with party symbol Torch and 3 candidates are contesting with Boat symbol as the common candidate of 14-party alliance.
“A revision of our present constitution has become necessary to shape our much-needed national renaissance in the framework of Bangladesh's political-social-cultural-economic context-crisis-potential and fourth industrial revolution context-crisis-potential,” stated JaSads' election manifesto.
In order to eliminate the contradictions and ambiguities in the current constitution, the JaSaD is promptly proposing a constitutional review, taking into consideration the ideological concerns already highlighted.
