Bangladesh Awami League, Greater China branch has demanded speedy trial and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators of the 21st August, 2004 grenade attack. This demand was made in Guangzhou, China, on Sunday evening in a protest meeting for the remembering martyrs and the injured in the August 21 grenade attack.
The protest meeting was held under the leadership of Jadab Debnath, Acting President of Bangladesh Awami League, Greater China Branch. Under the general supervision of China Awami League Organizing Secretary Jasim Hossain, other leaders from different provinces expressed their prayers, tributes and condolences for the martyrs and the injured in the grenade attack on 21 August 2004 with due dignity and solemnity.
The speakers in the meeting strongly condemned and protested the barbaric grenade attack aimed at killing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu. The speakers demanded exemplary punishment through speedy trial of the perpetrators of the 21 August grenade attack.
