Two separate charges of genocide and crimes against humanity have been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former ministers, policemen and activists of Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League in connection with the burning of the body in a car in Ashulia during the anti-discrimination movement.
On Wednesday (September 11), lawyer Huzzatul Islam Khan submitted this complaint to the investigation agency of the International Criminal Tribunal on behalf of Sabur's brother and Sajal's mother, who were killed in Ashulia on August 5.
The lawyer said that a complaint has been filed against 69 people including Sheikh Hasina in connection with the killing of six people in Savar's Ashulia during the agitation.
Under Section B of the International Criminal Tribunal Act, 1973, the accused have been asked to investigate and take legal action. He was charged with genocide and crimes against humanity under Sections 3(2) and 4(1)/4(2) of the International Criminal Tribunal Act, 1973.
According to the nature of the crime, under the instructions and planning of the defendants number 1 to 7, the other defendants indiscriminately fired with firearms and killed the general unarmed student crowd who were protesting against discrimination and burnt their bodies in fire with the intention of their complete or partial extermination, the crime of genocide and crimes against humanity.
