The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has decided to hold a long march towards Agartala to protest against Indian aggression. The long march will be held from Dhaka to Agartala. The program will be held under the joint banner of the Nationalist Youth Party, the Volunteer Party, and the Chhatra Dal.
However, the schedule of the long march has not yet been decided.
This decision was taken in a virtual meeting of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman with the top leaders of the three organizations on Thursday.
It is learned that the long march will start from Dhaka with a convoy and leaders and activists of BNP and affiliated organizations from different districts up to Akhaura in Brahmanbaria will participate in it.
BNP says that after the fall of the Awami League government and Sheikh Hasina fleeing to India and later arresting Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jot spokesperson Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari and his bail issue, Bangladesh's relations with India have been strained.
In such a situation, BNP's policymakers felt that such behavior by India was beyond diplomatic etiquette. They were interfering in Bangladesh's internal affairs unnecessarily. For these reasons, the BNP decided to raise its voice against India. In continuation of this, BNP's three affiliated organizations have decided to hold a long march towards Agartala.
