Runa Laila, the renowned musician of the subcontinent, has been out of the house only three / four times in an emergency since the countrywide lockdown started last year due to corona. She left the house to take the corona vaccine and to perform on stage shows for two consecutive days on the Golden Jubilee of independence. Apart from this, Runa Laila did not leave the house.

Runa Laila said, “Honestly, I spend my time just like everyone else. But yes, the lifestyle of each person is different. I’m passing my time by reading books and listening music. Besides, I am also creating some new tunes. It can be said that new tunes are constantly coming to my mind.”

Whose songs do you usually listen to?  “I actually listen to everyone’s songs. No one's name can be specified. Again I try to learn something from the songs of many. Those who like music more in the country, but I also inspire them by calling or massaging myself, ”said Runa Laila.

Asked if she listens to her own songs, Runa Laila said, "Yes, of course I do. I listen to all the old and new songs of mine. I try to find out my own mistakes in those songs.”

What will you do first if the situation is normal? In reply, Runa Laila said, “I don't know when the situation will return to normal. But I want to go to my daughter Tani in London. I have been under house arrest since the beginning of March last year and have not been able to leave my house since. So the mind is restless to go to London.”

“It is a humble request to all of you to be aware, be safe and of course don’t take off the mask when you go out for emergency work.”

Runa Laila sang patriotic songs on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of independence and the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 23 at the National Parade Ground and on March 26 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on the occasion of the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
