A mellifluous songstress from India, Madhubanti Bagchi is a rising star in both Tollywood and Bollywood. The popular singer, who started her career with `Ami Ar Amar Girlfriends’ gave voice to numerous Bengali songs such as- `Kichchu Chaini Aami’, `Egiye De’, `Tomake Chai’, among others.

She paved her way into Bollywood with hits like "Barbaadiyan" from `Shiddat’ and `Bansuri’ from `Hum Do Hamare Do’. Madhubanti is currently in Bangladesh, working on a project with Bangladesh's ace musician, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob. Fans have started speculating whether she is collaborating with them for Coke Studio Bangladesh.

While the singer remains tight-lipped about her involvement with the popular musical franchise, she was quite excited on working with noted Bangladeshi musicians.

`I cannot confirm nor deny my involvement with the project. All I can say is that audiences will get to see something special soon’, said the singer.

`Arnob da is my inspiration, I got to learn about Bangladeshi music through his songs. I had a bucket list of artistes with whom I wanted to collaborate with, and he was on top of the list’, she says. `I really want to do more shows with him here’, mentioned Madhubanti, who got to work with Tahsan as well.

`I was quite overwhelmed with Tahsan's wonderful gesture and welcoming attitude’, says Madhubanti. `He is such a fine gentleman, and I am really happy that I got to meet such fine musicians in Bangladesh’, added the singer.

Madhubanti's stay in Bangladesh was short but she got to jam with national award winning composer Kaushik Hossain Taposh, and artistes like Oyshee, Sumi,Kona, Dola, among others.

She was asked to play many concerts in Dhaka, during her short visit. `I had to decline, as I don't want to perform without my band. However, I would love to play a concert here next time’.
