Narendra Modi is going to take charge as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. He was due to be sworn in on Saturday (June 8). However, this swearing-in ceremony is getting delayed.
Indian media NDTV reported in a report on Thursday that instead of Saturday, Modi will be sworn in as Prime Minister for the third time on Sunday evening.
Narendra Modi was elected as the head of the BJP-led coalition NDA on Wednesday. Through which Modi's path to become Prime Minister is smooth. When Modi is sworn in again on Sunday, he will be the second Indian after Jawaharlal Nehru to become prime minister for the third consecutive term.
Prime Ministers and Presidents of several South Asian countries have been invited to attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe have already confirmed they will attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony.
