After the death of Ratan Tata, now the question has arisen - who will be the successor of the Tata society? Ratan N Tata, one of India's richest men, died on Wednesday at the age of 86. He retired in 2012 after serving 20 years as the Chairman of Tata Group. But he was well known all over the world as one of the most respected businessmen of India.

Ratan Tata is not married. He has no children. His own brother Jimmy Tata also did not marry. They are two sons of Naval Tata and Suni Commissariat. When Ratan Tata was only 10 years old, his parents divorced. It is said that none of the two brothers decided to get married after seeing the unhappy life of their parents.

Jamshedji Tata, a follower of Parsi religion, is known as the founder of the Tata family. He started his journey as an industrialist by setting up a cloth factory in the 1870s. He and his wife Hirabai Dabu had a daughter and two sons. Dhunbai Tata was the eldest daughter. The elder son Dobarji Tata was the second chairman of the Tata Group. He was known as an industrialist. He had no children.

Ratanji Tata is the second son of Jamshedji Tata. Nawazbai Tata was the wife of Ratanji, who was known as a philanthropist. They also had no children. After her husband's death, she adopted baby Naval into the extended Tata family. This Naval later served as director of several Tata Group companies.

The assets of Tata group are 3 thousand 800 crore rupees. This business group has operations in 100 countries in six continents of the world. They have businesses in various sectors including energy, automobile, engineering, information technology, communication. Eight lakh workers work in Tata companies around the world.

Who are the heirs?

Naval Tata remarried after her breakup with Suni Commissariat. In 1955, he married Simone Dunaire, a French-speaking Swiss woman 26 years younger than him. Simone used to run Lakme, a well-known cosmetics company. Their only son Noel Tata was born in 1957.

Noel Tata has three children. Maya, Neville and Leia. The legacy of the Tatas, these three are expected to inherit.

Maya Tata

Maya is 34 years old. He has already matured his position in the Tata group. Maya studied in Britain. He played important roles in Tata Opportunities and Tata Digital. He is known as a strategist. His thoughts on the launch of Tata New App were important.

Neville Tata

Neville is very active in the family business. His age is 32. His wife is Mansi Kirloskar. She is the daughter of the family that owns the Toyota Kirloskar Group. Neville heads Star Bazaar, the company that runs all the huge stores. These hypermarkets are managed under Trent Limited. That is why he is considered as the future leader of Tata Group.

Lia Tata

Leah, the eldest of Noel Tata's three children, is 39. He is engaged in hospitality business of Tata Group. He graduated from IE Business School in Spain. He played a responsible role in Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. Currently he is looking after the management side of Indian Hotels Company.
