National Film Award-winning actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha is going to the Cannes Film Festival, accompanied by her four-month-old daughter Ilham Nusrat Farooki.
The actress will be flying tonight to attend the 75th edition of the prestigious festival in France.
Tisha and Arifin Shuvoo, who are starring in Shyam Benegal's Bangabandhu biopic, "Mujib: The Making of a Nation", will be there for the teaser launch of the film in the Marché du Film Commercial Branch at the Indian pavilion, on May 19.
Arifin Shuvoo plays the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Tisha portrays Fazilatunnesa Mujib, the wife of Bangabandhu, in this biopic, jointly produced by Bangladesh and India.
Tisha is hopeful that the film will shine in other International festivals as well.
She informed the media that her sister is also going with her to take care of Ilham. Meanwhile, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki will join them, to babysit his daughter.
They are planning to return from the festival on May 27. However, there may be some changes in the schedule.
In addition, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud is expected to be attending the teaser launch, along with India's Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, and the director of the film, among many others.
