Shakib Khan will be essaying the role of a dhuli (professional drummer) in SA Haque Alik's government granted film, "Golui". His character will go around villages, playing the drum. The "Nawab LLB" actor is currently shooting for "Golui" in Jamalpur. The shooting was halted yesterday due to a severe outpour of rain.
The movie is about Laal, played by Shakib Khan, who thrives to be a dhuli, but his father wants him to be a boatman like him. The role of Laal's father is played by actor Subrata. From a young age, Laal wants to be a dhuli, since he started learning to play the flute and dhol (drum) from his uncle, played by Azizul Hakim.
Through a chance encounter, Laal gets to meet the richest girl in his area, Puja, and soon, they fall in love. "People will get to see me in a new look in this movie. Due to the necessity of the role, I had to learn to play the dhol," says Shakib Khan.
Director SA Haque Alik is also excited for the audiences to see Shakib Khan in this film. "We are going to introduce a different Shakib Khan through this movie. I really hope the audiences will appreciate his role," added the director. Noted actress Sucharita will also play a pivotal role in the film.
