Actress Pori Mon. COURTESY
A Dhaka court on Tuesday ordered police to return 16 items, including a private car, that were seized from film actress Pori Moni's home as evidence in a case filed under Narcotics Control Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder gave the order after Kazi Golam Mostafa, an inspector of Criminal Investigation Department and also investigation officer of the case, on Monday submitted a report regarding return of the valuables.
Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu told the court that they have no objection if the court orders to return the private car and the other valuables.
On September 15, the same court directed CID to submit a report as early as possible on whether or not it would return a private car and other valuables after Pori Moni submitted two separate petitions in this regard.
On September 1, Pori Moni was released from jail on bail, four weeks after Rapid Action Battalion arrested her.
