23rd Young Artist Art Exhibition extended

The ongoing 23rd Young Artist Art Exhibition 2022 at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has been extended to August 31, said a press release.


The exhibition, which began on July 27, was scheduled to end on August 25.


The biennial exhibition is featuring 422 artworks by 356 artists. It has been organised at the National Art Gallery by the BSA fine arts department.


The first Young Artist Art Exhibition was held in 1975. A total of 1019 young artists submitted 2034 artworks to this year’s exhibition, which is featuring artworks under eleven categories namely, painting, printmaking, sculpture, oriental art, pottery, craft, graphic design, photography, installation art, performance art and new media.


The displayed artworks address diverse themes, namely nature, everyday life, technology, flora and fauna, War of Independence, traditional sports and others.


The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
