Cluster entrance examinations to 24 general and science and technology (GST) public universities are scheduled to start on April 27.
This time, 305,346 candidates will participate in the entrance test in three units against approximately 20,000 seats.
The entrance exam is going to be held under the management of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), said the public relations office of JUST on Thursday.
A total of 170,599 students have registered in the 'A' unit, 94,631 in the 'B' unit, and 40,116 have registered in the 'C' unit to participate in the entrance test at 24 universities this year.
According to the GST website, the entrance test for the students who registered from the science department in the 'A' unit will be held from 12noon to 1pm on April 27.
On the same day, the practical exams (drawing) for architecture will take place from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
Students have been instructed to reach the respective centres one hour before the exam to complete other formalities related to the entrance test.
The GST Integrated Admission Committee said that all measures have already been taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the entrance examination.
The JUST will send questions to distant universities under tight security by today.
JUST Vice-Chancellor Md Anwar Hossain, also chairman of the GST Integrated Admission Committee, said, "All preparations have been taken to hold the exams smoothly.”
