Bangladesh cricket team and support staff returned home on Sunday from New Zealand after a disappointing tour where they lost all six matches against the hosts. The team arrived at Sunday morning on a Singapore Airlines flight at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

Head coach Russell Domingo and fielding coach Ryan Cook, however, did not return with the team as they will return to Bangladesh on April 8 and 9 respectively. The players, however, will have a brief stay in the country as they are expected to leave for Sri Lanka on April 12 to play a two-Test series.

One-day international skipper Tamim Iqbal and pacer Hasan Mahmud had returned to Bangladesh after the ODI series, as the former skipped the Twenty20 internationals for personal reason and the latter suffered an injury.

A 20-member Bangladesh squad had left for New Zealand on February 23 to play a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series against the Black Caps.
