Bangladesh team has been playing a warm-up match among themselves as a preparation for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. They divided into two teams, Tamim Iqbal is the captain of the red team and the green team is being led by Mominul Haque. The match started at 10 am local time at the Chilaw Marians Cricket Club Ground in Katuanayake.
Tamim and Saif Hassan, the two openers of the red team, made a great start by batting first. Tamim picked up a half century in the first session. The left-arm opener left the field with 63 runs before the Lunch.
After Tamim left the field, Nazmul Hossain Shanto joined Saif. The red team collected 100 runs without any wickets.
Saif, who scored 52 runs, left the field voluntarily after picking up a half century after lunch. Apart from Tamim and Saif, Shanto also completed half-century. The left-arm batsman remained unbeaten on 52 with Mushfiqur Rahim unbeaten on 29 runs. Before the tea break, the red team scored 204 runs without any wickets.
