Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd, the leading sports club of the country, has distributed relief items among 3,000 distressed people in Manikganj. Under the guidance and financial support of Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd Chairman and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the relief items were distributed at 11am on Sunday. Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd arranged the relief distribution programme at Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj marking the “National Mourning Day” commemorating the martyrdoms of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members.
A number of 3,000 unemployed and insolvent people worst affected by the Covid-19 in Manikganj area received the food items under the relief scheme. Representative of every family got 10kg rice, 3kg lentil and 3kg flour as relief from Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra.
Jubo League presidium member and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd director Sajjad Haider, Manikganj district Awami League president advocate Golam Mohiuddin, vice-president Abdul Mazid, municipality mayor Ramzan Ali, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra permanent member Aminul Islam, Md Maruf Kazi, district Krira Sangstha general secretary Sudeb Saha, Manikganj Press Club president Golam Sarwar Sanu, district Jubo League convener Abdur Razzak Raja and joint convener Mahbubur Rahman Jony were present on the occasion.
It is not the first time that Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd distributed relief as the leading sports club of the country reached out to the insolvent people at Tungipara and Kotalipara in Gopalganj.
