Meherunnesa Nellie, a 35-year-old school teacher, committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan in Kendua, Netrokona.
The incident took place at around 11:00 pm on Friday at her Arambagh residence in Kendua municipal town.
Meherunnesa Nellie was Assistant Headmaster of Joy Kasatashi High School in the Upazila.
Asadul Karim Mamun, a relative of the deceased, said, "Getting a call from Nellie's elder brother, I rushed to the home. Breaking down the door, we entered the room and saw Nellie's body hanging from the fan. "
She committed suicide after locking her 10th-grader daughter in one room and her husband in another room, he added.
Kendua Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mir Mahabubur Rahman said Meherunnesa Nellie allegedly committed suicide after getting angry with her 10th-grade daughter at night.
