The Narsingdi District Branch of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) has organized a human chain to demand revocation of the order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration regarding the responsibility of reviewing and evaluating 100% ADP projects of the Deputy Commissioners.
Narsingdi LGED Executive Engineer Khandaker Asaduzzaman, Senior Assistant Engineer Md. Tofazzal Hossain, Sadar Upazila Engineer Md. Shah Alam Miah and other engineers of Public Works Engineering Office Engineers were present at the time.
The speakers said, `We believe that the order given by the Ministry of Public Administration on January 16 to every Deputy Commissioner across the country to monitor and evaluate 100% of the ADP projects is a conspiracy against the development of the country’.
Besides, supervising engineering activities with non-engineers is unnecessary, disrespectful and undesirable for the engineers of this country. Therefore, I strongly demand the immediate cancellation of this order.
