He is the son of Selim Khan of Narkeltala area of Satkhira city.
It is learned that Munsurul Amin Khan joined the service as the Chief Officer (Captain) of the ship 18 years ago. He last came home three months ago. Munsurul was known as 'Guinea' in his area. Munsurul Amin has three sons. Fahimi and Farhan (10) are twin brothers. The youngest son Fardin is three years old. The twin boys are fourth graders. Munsurul Amin's family members have demanded a government initiative to bring all Bangladeshis back to the country safely, including Munsurul Amin, the sole breadwinner of the family.
His father Selim Khan said that Captain Mansurul Amin Khan sent news to his home after being trapped in Ukraine during the war. At the time, he said, Guinea had spoken at home on Thursday evening.
