The court ordered the death penalty for 5 accused in the Zahid murder case of Khalishpur, Khulna. At the same time, each of them was sentenced to another 6 months' imprisonment without payment of a fine of 5 thousand taka.
Those sentenced to death are-Mo. Abbas Ansari, Nashu Faraji, Riaz, Nadeem and Jabbar.

The acquitted accused in this case are Md. Rana Hossain, Sultan alias Gabbar, Pati Sagar, Md. Omar Farooq aka Arif, Md. Mehedi Hasan aka Packet Mehedi and Md. Zahidul Islam Zahid.
According to the statement, the elder son of Sabbir Hossain, a resident of Khalishpur housing strait area, had a dispute with some miscreants in the area. On December 13, 2016, he left home for Chitrali market. On the way, when Bangavasi Mor reached in front of Jahangir's rice shop, the terrorists who were already there attacked him with sharp weapons. He was seriously injured in this incident. Jabed's two brothers learned about the attack. Suman and Zahid reach the spot.
At that time, Amasi Abbas Anshari and Jabbar Jabed's younger brother Md. Suman is held captive and the terrorists hunt her brother Zahid. Later, when Zahid continued to shout, the local residents rushed to the spot and the terrorists fled. Later, locals rescued them and took them to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared Zahid dead.
