'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Quiz' contest ends

The 100-day Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib online Quiz, organized by the National Implementation Committee in celebration of the 100th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and enhancing the youth’s knowledge of the history of Bangladesh, and the ideals of the Greatest Bengali of a Thousand years, ended with great enthusiasm and stimulation. 

The quiz competition was held from December 1, 2020 to March 10, 2021. This is by far the biggest quiz competition in the history of Bangladesh. 

The National Implementation Committee in a press statement on Saturday said, the experience of the last 100 days was amazing. The way in which people from all parts of the country, especially young students, participated in this quiz with great enthusiasm is absolutely unprecedented. A total of more than 1.5 million contestants have registered for the quiz. A total of 7,63,406 contestants participated in the quiz 86,38,078 times in 100 days, most of them are students of schools, colleges, madrasas and universities. The participation of women in the quiz was eye-catching. 

More than 3 crore people have visited the quiz website. The content of the quiz has been reached directly to 15 million people on social media and more than 25 million people on YouTube and Google networks. A total of 1 crore 15 lakh people have liked or commented on the content of the quiz. 

The participants are spread across the country. In these 100 days, more than 10,000 people from different walks of life have won. As the winners we got the freedom fighters, we also got the primary school children. There are also many examples of the whole family taking part in the quiz, the statement read. 

On Friday, Education Minister Dipu Moni, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar, State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Chief Coordinator of the National Implementation Committee, Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, University Grants Commission (UGC) member  Prof Dr. Sazzad Hossain joined the live on the occasion of the last live lottery and closing ceremony of the contest. In this live lottery, five winners were given five laptops.
