The sky may clear on Saturday or Sunday.
Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid of the Meteorological Department said that despite the absence of a cold wave, temperatures across the country have dropped due to dense fog. The fog may further increase the cold during the day.
He said that there is also little chance of seeing sunshine during these three days due to the temporarily partly cloudy sky.
The country's lowest temperature was recorded in Jashore today, at 12.8 degrees Celsius. The country's lowest temperature on Tuesday was in Tetulia in Panchagarh, at 9.5 degrees Celsius. Today, the temperature in Tetulia has increased to 14.2 degrees Celsius.
However, the temperature in places known as the country's 'winter hotspots' has not decreased to that extent. For example, today the temperature in Badalgachhi in Naogaon is 15.5 degrees Celsius. Yesterday it was 15 degrees Celsius. Today the temperature in Rajshahi is 15 degrees Celsius, yesterday it was 13 degrees Celsius.
