University of Asia Pacific (UAP), in partnership with DG Infotech Ltd., launched 'UAP OneCard' on Monday at the UAP Auditorium, Green Road, as part of its 30th Anniversary celebrations.
The OneCard is an integrated digital campus solution that combines university identification, selected campus services, cashless payments and secure digital credential management in one platform. The system includes a physical smart card along with the OneID App. DGePay App. DGePay Merchant App and OneCard Vault.
The OneID App provides digital identification and credential management, while the DGePay App enables account management and cashless payments through QR codes at participating merchants. The OneCard Vault securely stores verified documents, including certificates, ID proofs, enrolment letters and transcripts.
Initially, the OneCard will support attendance, library, canteen, digital identification and credential services, with plans to add more services in phases.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Md. Ismail Zabihullah, Adviser to the Hon'ble Prime Minister with the rank of Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Public Administration, appreciated the initiative as an important step towards digital transformation in higher education. He praised UAP and DG Infotech Ltd. for introducing an integrated technology-based campus solution and emphasized the need for secure and student-friendly digital services.
Mr. K. M. Mozibul Hoque, Chairman, Board of Trustees, UAP, described the OneCard as an important milestone in UAP's technology roadmap. He said the initiative would strengthen digital services and help create a more modern, efficient and connected campus.
Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice-Chancellor, UAP, said the OneCard would simplify everyday campus services by bringing digital identity, payment and credential management into one ecosystem. He expressed hope that the partnership with DG Infotech Ltd. would further support UAP's digital transformation.
Following the screening of launch and service videos, an interactive session was held with students to demonstrate the platform. Mr. Rashed Mahmud, Managing Director & CEO of DG Infotech Ltd., briefed the audience on the technology behind OneCard, including the Onel D and DGePay applications, OneCard Vault and integrated payment system. He also highlighted the scope for expanding the platform with additional services in the future.
Hon'ble members of the Board of Trustees, faculty members, officials, students and other members of the UAP and DG Infotech Limited community attended the event.
