A fire has broken out in Moulvibazar's Lawachara forest today.
The fire service is struggling to control the fire, which has been burning for over an hour.
According to local sources, some workers were working in the student dormitory part of Lawachara. Suddenly around 12 noon, a fire broke out in that area.
Later, a unit of Kamalganj Fire Service came to the spot and tried to control the fire, but they could not enter the forest as there is no road in the forest and there was a shortage of water.
Divisional Forest Officer Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, "People from the forest department and the fire service are on the scene. They are trying to put out the fire quickly."
The forest department is investigating the cause of the fire.
