Bangabandhu Corner and a newly built five story building office-store were inaugurated on Monday at Central Medical Centre Depot (CMSD) to celebrate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque was attended the occasion as chief guest while secretary of health care division Md. Abdul Mannan and health education and family welfare division secretary Md. Ali Noor were also attended.
Separate section inside the CMSD has been decorated with significant pictures, books and other documents related to Bangabandhu. The corner features a portrait of Bangabandhu along with the books and photos on the life and work of the father of the nation.
In his inaugural speech Minister Zahid Maleque said, “Year-long celebrations started on 17 March 2020 to mark the 100th birth anniversary of the father of the nation. The inauguration of the newly built 5-story building with several stores would help to ease the overall crisis of drug storage of the country.”
He further said, “Preserving Bangabandhu’s spirit and ideology for the future generation is the aim of establishing ‘Bangabandhu Corner’.”
Central Medical Centre Depot (CMSD) Director Abu Hena Morshed Zaman emphasized the initiative as a milestone in the Mujib year also appreciated all who were present at the event.
