Multiple sources in the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) have confirmed that the final results of the 40th BCS will be released by March.
According to PSC sources, the 40th BCS exams had to be postponed several times due to the increase in the Covid outbreak. There was also a rush to take the viva test. As the current situation is somewhat normal, all the work will be completed soon and the results will be released.

PSC published the notification of 40th BCS in August 2018 – 4,12,532 candidates applied for it, among these, 3.27 lakh candidates took part in the exam. Of these, 20,277 people passed the preliminary exams.
Then on January 27 last year, PSC published the results of the written test of 40th BCS. In this, 10,964 people were shown to have passed. Although the oral examination was scheduled to start on February 16, it was postponed several times due to the COVID situation.
A total of 1,903 cadres will be recruited in this BCS – 200 will be recruited in administration cadre, 72 in police, 25 in foreign affairs, 24 in tax, 32 in customs and excise and about 600 will be recruited in the education cadre. However, this number may increase further.
