The trend of falling prices has continued on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main stock market of the country. Today, the first working day of the week, at 11:15 am, the main index of DSE, DSEX, has decreased by 76 points. At one point in the morning, the index fell to 87 points. On the other hand, the overall index CASPI of the other stock market Chittagong Stock Exchange decreased by 184 points till 11:15 pm.
It is seen that most of the shares traded on the DSE today are falling. Shares of 233 companies have declined so far. The price of only 17 companies share has increased; the price of 76 has 0remained unchanged. So far, the transaction has been 202 crores. The share prices of pharmaceutical companies are the lowest. Prices of Square Pharma, Beximco Pharma, Beacon Pharma, and Renator are seen declining.
Beximco Limited, Robi, Beximco Pharma, Lanka Bangla Finance, Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Limited, GBB Power, Rahima Food, BATBC, Summit Power, and Walton Hitech Industries are the top companies to transact till 11:15 pm.
Even on the last working day of last week, the transaction ended with a big drop in the DSE. On that day, the DSEX index has decreased by 81 points. The total transaction was 684 crore 36 lakh taka.
