Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) has signed an agreement with consulting firm Dream71 Bangladesh Ltd to create an online marketing platform. The agreement was signed on Friday. BSCIC Chairman Md. Mushtaq Hasan, NDC was present as the Chief Guest.
BSIC Secretary Md. Mofidul Islam and Managing Director of consulting firm Dream71 Bangladesh Ltd Rashad Kabir signed the agreement to create BSCIC online marketing platform on behalf of their respective organizations.
Speaking as the chief guest, the BSIC chairman said that the BSCIC online marketing platform will set up display centers and sales centers in 64 district offices and 8 industrial cities of BSCIC across the country to market the products produced by the entrepreneurs. BSCIC has the infrastructural facilities to set up the display centers and sales outlets.
The BSCIC chairman further said that online marketing is a reality of the current digital age. Entrepreneurs in small, cottage and medium industries have been severely affected by the corona virus outbreak. Entrepreneurs will benefit by marketing products on the BSIC online marketing platform.
Following the signing of the agreement, a day-long workshop was held to finalize the System Requirement Specification (SRS) of the BSCIC online marketing platform.
BSCIC Director (Finance) Swapan Kumar Ghosh, Director (Marketing, Design and Crafts) Md. Alamgir Hossain, Director (Planning and Research) Dr. Golam Md. Farooq, BSIC General Manager and Principal, SKIT Engineer Md. Shafiqul Alam, General Manager (Marketing) Akhil Ranjan Tarafdar and senior officials of BSCIC, ATUI and Dream71 Bangladesh Ltd were present.
Entrepreneurs from small, cottage and medium industries across the country will have the opportunity to market their products on the BSIC online marketing platform.
