Important meeting of Ansar-VDP Development Bank delegation with Governor of Bangladesh Bank: Assurance of progress in Sanjeevan Project, CBS implementation, manpower recruitment and expansion of digital banking
Today, on August 18, 2026, an important courtesy meeting was held with the Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Md. Mostakur Rahman, FCMA, regarding the overall modernization of Ansar-VDP Development Bank, digital transformation and expansion of modern banking services for members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Ansar and Village Defense Force and Honorable Chairman of Ansar-VDP Development Bank, Mr. Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC. The meeting discussed various important issues including the approval of the Pre-Finance facility of the much-awaited “Sanjivan Project” of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force. In this regard, the Honorable Governor assured the speedy approval of the Sanjivan Project by completing the necessary process, which will open new possibilities for financial inclusion of the force members and economic development. In addition, the issue of recruiting the necessary manpower for the successful implementation of Core Banking System (CBS) in Ansar-VDP Development Bank and overall modernization of the bank was discussed with importance. It was assured to take necessary initiatives to complete the recruitment process for 205 posts through Bangladesh Bank’s BSC within the next 03 months. Once the required manpower recruitment is completed, the technical and institutional capacity of the bank will increase to a great extent and the implementation of CBS and modern banking activities will be more dynamic. It was further discussed in the meeting that necessary cooperation and guidance will be provided for the implementation of CBS within the stipulated time frame to ensure complete digital banking facilities for the members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force. At the same time, in order to modernize customer service and ensure fast, secure and effective inter-bank transactions, Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank has implemented initiatives to implement membership and operations in BACH, NPSB, BEFTN/EFT and other national payment and clearing systems, so that members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force will be able to receive salary and allowances, Inter-Bank Fund Transfer, digital payment, electronic fund transfer and other modern banking services more easily, quickly and securely in the future. This positive direction and assurance of cooperation from the Honorable Governor of Bangladesh Bank will play an important role in the modernization of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank and building a technology-based, inclusive and modern banking future for members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force.
