Bogura Correspondent: Climate Smart Nursery, Rest room for the char farmers and Solar-based mobile irrigation in the char areas were inaugurated in Shariakandi area in Bogura on Wednesday afternoon.
The motto of the activities in the root-level disadvantaged people of the char areas was the development of the marketing system for improving of the lot of the char people by improving house-hold food and nutrition security of vulnerable Char people in Bangladesh.
The project named Voroshar Notun Janala was sponsored by United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB Bank) and arranged by CDRC, under Rural Development Academy (RDA) of Bogura.
Director General of RDA, Bogura, and Additional Secretary of the government Md Khurshid Iqbal Rezvi, Deputy Managing Director of UCB PLC ATM Tahamiduzzaman FCS, and Deputy managing Director of UCB PLC Shah Alam Bhuiyan, and President of Recef Foundation Dr. Joynal Abedin spoke in the Skilled Development Training Course in the Nayapara char area under Shariakandi upazila in Bogura.
The team leader of the research and Joint-Director of RDA, Bogura, Dr. Md Abdul Majid Pramanik and the Technical Adviser of the research Dr. Zakaria and Research Co-ordinator Mozaharul Islam Babu and other high officials of RDA and UCB PLC in the programme.
Speakers emphasised on the development of the disadvantaged people of the char and Bangladesh can develop with the development of the people in the chars of Bangladesh and the initiative can reach them in their humanitarian target.
