The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pardoned 75 more Bangladeshis who were arrested for supporting the anti-discrimination movement. With the latest, the country released a total of 188 expatriate Bangladeshis.
Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sarwar Alam said this information in a Facebook post on Friday.
Sarwar Alam wrote the Emirates government has pardoned 75 more expatriate Bangladeshis who were detained for marching and protesting in the United Arab Emirates against the killing and persecution of students during the Sheikh Hasina government.
He also wrote that Emirates has released a total of 188 people so far in this incident. Alhamdulillah. Thanks to all concerned.
