Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) Tuesday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am Tuesday.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna and Dhaka divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin here Tuesday.

Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 35.7 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet division and today’s minimum temperature 24.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Teknaf in Chattogram division.

The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 32 millimeters (mm) at Bhola in Barishal division. The sun sets at 06.47 pm today and rises at 05.11 am tomorrow in the capital.
