Bangladesh Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is in the three-format Bangladesh team for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe. On June 29, the Test squad went to Zimbabwe.

Shakib has played for Mohammedan Sporting Club in Dhaka Premier League (DPL), although he did not play in the Super League, he fled to his family in the United States. Shakib joined the team from the USA. He is scheduled to practice with his team. Bangladesh team has a practice schedule at 1.30 pm local time Thursday. Not only Shakib but several members of the coaching staff have joined the Bangladesh team separately. Two new coaches of Bangladesh have already joined the team. Newly appointed spin bowling consultant Rangana Herath has arrived from Sri Lanka, batting consultant Ashwell Prince has arrived in Zimbabwe from South Africa. 

As a result, all the coaches of Bangladesh team are in practice. The tourists are scheduled to play a two-day warm-up game Saturday and Sunday and will start the bilateral series against the hosts in the lone Test at Harare Sports Club starting next Wednesday. Bangladesh in the month-long tour will also play a three-match ODI series, which is part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. The tour also comprises three T20s.

Four uncapped players in Zimbabwe squad

Chivanga Tanaka, Joylord Gumbie, Takudzwanashe Kaitano, and Dion Myers have been chosen in Zimbabwe's squad for the one-off Test against Bangladesh, which will begin on July 7. Tanaka and Myers have each played five first-class games, whereas Gumbie (44) and Kaitano (21) have more. Sean Williams will captain the team, which will be bolstered by veteran players such as Brendan Taylor, Donald Tiripano, and Craig Ervine. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Test team has already reached Harare, Zimbabwe. After a day's rest, he started practicing for the first time on Thursday (July 1) at 5.30 pm (Bangladesh time). The Tigers will play a two-day warm-up match before the start of the Test. The two teams will begin the series with a Test in Bulawayo, followed by three ODIs and three T20Is in Harare.
