Rajasthan Royals suffered a heavy 45-run defeat against Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. Despite none of the batsmen reaching any landmark scores, Chennai managed to pile up a challenging 188 for nine after being sent to bat. Chennai bowlers then did a remarkable job to restrict Rajasthan to 143 for nine as MS Dhoni's side romped to their second win in three matches.
Chennai all-rounder Moeen Ali remained the most successful bowler of all, returning impressive and miserly figures of three for seven in his three overs. Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each for Chennai.
Earlier, Mustafizur got his only scalp of the game -- that of Chennai opener Ruturaj Gaikwad -- in his very first over. The Bangladeshi left-arm pacer ended with figures of one for 37 in his four overs before bowling an eventful final over of the game that included two runouts, a no-ball and a last-ball six.
