The inaugural match of the Bondhutter Bijoy Cricket League (BBCL) Season 3 was held at the Butex ground on Friday under the auspices of the much-anticipated Magura Group and organized by the members of the Sports Group 4/6, a Facebook group based on the School and College Batch-2004/2006. A total of 7 teams were formed with the members of the tournament group. The 7 teams are Bir Bangali 52, Swadhin Bangla 71, Sangram 26, Jagroto 25, Agnishikha 69, Uddipta 21 and Bijay 16. Each match of the tournament will be held every Friday on the weekend at the Butex Cricket Ground.
All the friends are always by the side of the friend in the triumph of friendship. The BBCL Cricket League Season-Three Powered by Magura Group has started to spread love in a new way with this friendship.
There were three games on yesterday (Friday ). Swadhin Bangla 71 won the toss and elected to bat first in the opening match at the beginning of the day. After playing 17.3 overs three balls, they were all out for 103 runs. Batting for the team, Ashiq Khan top-scored with 29 and Mozammel with 16. After batting at the target of 104 runs, Mozammel Golam Gaffar's outstanding bowling stopped Bir Bangali 52 for 65 runs in 15.4 overs.
Mozammel Haque, an all-rounder of Swadhin Bangla 71, was adjudged the best player of the match for take four wickets only for 18 runs.
In the second match of the day, Jagroto 25, who went down to bat first, lost 7 wickets in 18 overs and scored a challenging 142 runs. Moshiur Rahman Shahed top-scored with 28 and captain Shakil scored 24 for the team.
Playing at the target of 143 runs, Agnishikha 69 was all out for only 80 runs in 17.4 overs.
Jagroto 25 captain Shakil took 4 wickets, Moshiur Rahman Shahed 2 wickets, Khan Robin 3 wickets and Asif Rochi 1 wicket for the team. Jagoto 25 captain Shakil was selected as the man of the match with 24 runs with 4 wickets.
In the third match of the day, Uddipto 21 lost 7 wickets in the allotted 18 overs to make a huge collection of 182 runs. Batting at the target of 183 runs, Sangram 26 lost 9 wickets in 18 overs and scored 128 runs.
Mahmud Khan Sharif, the captain of Uddipta 21, scored 53 runs and was declared the man of the match.
