Bangladesh Football Team will be left without three important players in captain Jamal Bhuiyan, left-back Rahmat Mia and midfielder Biplu Ahmed for their final Group E fixture of the FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers against Oman in Qatar, coach Jamie Day confirmed. All three are suspended for the Oman match, having received yellow cards in their last match against India.

Two yellows over the course of the campaign grants a one match suspension and while there were suggestions that Biplu's yellow in the India game was the only one he received this campaign, a BFF press release today confirmed that all three were suspended. With midfielder Mashuk Mia Johnny out injured, coach Jamie has only 17 outfield players to pick from. There will be vacancies to fill in the middle of the park with midfielder Sohel Rana also ruled out earlier. Jamie's task has become much harder against Oman as three out of Jamal, Sohel, Johnny and Manik plays who fill the midfield roles are unavailable. Asked about whether the three are suspended due to accumulating yellow cards, Jamie replied: “Yes that is correct and Johnny injured.”

Jamie had played quite a number of youngsters during the Three Nations Cup in Nepal and suggested that some of those players may likely be used now. “Yes, was impossible before all the injuries and suspension. Good job I did was to play the players in Nepal to give them some international experience,” he added. Jamal was yellow carded in both India matches while Rahmat got one against Oman and the other against India in the last game. Biplu's one yellow came in the India match while it was learned that the other yellow was carried on from prequalifying stage. Bangladesh are bottom of the table in Group E with two points and will play second-placed Oman on June 15.
