Rajasthan Royals (RR) played their final match at the Wankhede against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and convincingly won by 6 wickets. Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first. Out-of form Manan Vohra was replaced by youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal whereas KKR brought in Shivam Mavi in place of Kamlesh Nagarkotii for the match.

After their rather forgettable powerplay against CSK at the same venue where they lost 5 wickets in the powerplay, KKR played cautiously and only managed 25 runs in the powerplay with the loss of Shubman Gill courtesy of a beautiful direct hit by none other than Jos Buttler.

However, wickets kept on falling and KKR once again struggled to steady the ship and gain momentum in the match. Meanwhile, in-form Nitish Rana and Sunil Narine were removed by Chetan Sakariya and Jaydev Unadkat respectively.

Eoin Morgan fell without facing a ball as he was run out. Meanwhile, the top scorer Rahul Tripathi, who was going strong in the middle, also fell in the death overs. The final overs were nothing exceptional for KKR as both Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik could not contribute much whereas Chris Morris claimed 4 wickets and restricted them within 133 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

In the second innings, while chasing Rajasthan Royals lost two of their openers in the powerplay. It was Varun Chakravarthy, who provided the first breakthrough by trapping Jos Buttler before the stumps whereas Shivam Mavi removed the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal, who smashed a quick 22 with the help of five fours.

Meanwhile, after his stunning show against RCB, Shivam Dube came to bat at No.4 and started to steady the ship with the skipper Sanju Samson and they both added a 45-run stand. However, Dube could only manage 22 off 18 but Samson stayed till the end and David Miller hit the winning run as well and reached the target with 1.1 overs in hand.
