Cricket Australia has announced a 29-member preliminary squad for the white ball tours of the West Indies and Bangladesh. The National Selection Panel has added Ben McDermott, Dan Christian, Cameron Green, Ashton Turner, Wes Agar and Nathan Ellis to the preliminary list of players.
McDermott and Christian are currently playing for in the County Championship and will return to Australia from the UK this week to complete the mandatory two-week quarantine period before the final squad scheduled departure for the Caribbean in late June. Cameron made his ODI debut last summer against India and Ashton has performed well across his 17 ODI and T20I matches for Australia dating back to 2017. CA will announce the final touring squad in the coming weeks, after initially announcing a 23-player extended list last month that included a number of players from the now-suspended Indian Premier League. Australia is set to tour West Indies and then on return they will visit Bangladesh for five T20Is as a preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup.
