The anti-discrimination student movement, the platform of the quota reform movement, has announced a new programme. They have called for rallies at Shahbagh and Shaheed Minar on Monday and 'Long March to Dhaka' on Tuesday.
Nahid Islam, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, announced this program on Sunday afternoon.
He said, 'Martyr plaques will be unveiled in memory of the martyrs across the country on Monday. In Dhaka, workers' rally will be held at Shahbagh at 11 am and women's rally will be held at Shaheed Minar at 5 pm.
Nahid Islam said that Tuesday's program is 'Long March to Dhaka'. Students, citizens and workers from all over the country have been invited to come to Dhaka. There is a program of gathering at Shahbagh in the capital on this day at 2 pm. Its slogan has been decided - 'Power must be left, people come to Dhaka'.
The anti-discrimination student movement has called for the formation of student-led struggle committees in all areas, neighborhoods, villages, upazilas and districts.
Addressing the supporters, coordinator Nahid said, 'If there is a crackdown on the internet, we are missing, arrested, killed, if there is no one to declare, everyone will occupy the streets and continue the non-cooperation movement peacefully until the government falls on one-sided demands.'
The anti-discrimination student movement has called for a non-cooperation movement across the country from Sunday to demand the resignation of the government. Awami League leaders and activists have come to the field to stop them.
