Additional Commissioner (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid said that arrangements will be made to bring back mastermind Aktaruzzaman Shaheen in connection with the murder of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anna in Kolkata.

He said, immediately after the murder, I sent a letter to the United States with information through NCB. Since Shaheen is a US citizen, we have also informed Interpol. The United States has a prisoner exchange agreement with India. India will also play a role in returning Shaheen. Because Shaheen is a most wanted accused in India.

He said these things in response to a question from reporters after landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from Kathmandu, Nepal on Tuesday (June 4).

Haroon Or Rashid said, I will go to the United States Embassy in Bangladesh and meet with the officials to return Shaheen. I will arrange to bring him back.

When asked about the investigation in Nepal, Harun said that many people from Bangladesh have committed crimes and gone to Nepal. Again many Bangladeshi criminals from India go to Nepal. Many criminals use Nepal as a route. Aktaruzzaman Shaheen, the mastermind of Anwarul Azim Anna's murder, also went to Kathmandu, Nepal from India. Shaheen's associate Siam also went into hiding in Kathmandu. A letter was sent to the NCB of Nepal from the NCB branch of the Bangladesh Police Headquarters after receiving information that Siam was staying in Kathmandu. Based on our information Siam was arrested by the Kathmandu Police.

He said, we have spoken to various levels of police in Kathmandu. I have also told them that various criminals from Bangladesh go to Kathmandu and hide themselves. I think, the sincerity of Nepal Police and Bangladesh Police will increase. Bangladeshi criminals will go and build safe homes in Kathmandu, Nepal, this will not happen anymore; This message was received by the Kathmandu Police.

In response to a question, the Additional Commissioner of Police of DMP said, Kathmandu Police has told us unofficially that they have arrested Siam.

In reply to the question whether there is any complication regarding bringing back Siam, he said, Nepal does not have a prisoner exchange agreement with Bangladesh. However, we have spoken to the Kathmandu police about this as well. Siam is most wanted by police in India. Nepal has a prisoner exchange agreement with India. If Nepal handed over Siam to India or Bangladesh, there would be no problem in the investigation.

He said that if two countries claim the same crime, Nepal as the host country will take into account the nature of the crime. Where is the murder case? Nepal will consider and decide which country they will hand over Siam to.

Haroon Or Rashid also said that India is our friendly country. Our and India's objectives are one and the same. Sharing various information with India. The investigation officers of the two countries are working on the murder of MP Anna. If Siam is handed over to the Indian police, there will be no problem in our investigation.

Siam is known as a close and close person of mastermind Aktaruzzaman Shaheen. If SIAM hands over to the Indian police then SIAM can play a good role in recovering evidence. We can also interrogate Siam.

Recently, Shahidur Rahman, the supervising officer of MP Anna's abduction case, was suddenly transferred. When asked if there will be any problem in the investigation, Harun said, the matter of transfer is not our part. It is a routine work of police headquarters.

Regarding the recovery of body parts, he said, MP Anar's family will go to Kolkata. After that DNA sample test can be confirmed.
