The Department of Health has already taken initiative in this regard.
"At the same time, it has been suggested to fix the price of the test at BDT 1,500 to BDT2,000 at the private level."
The fee for sample test in government hospital is 100 taka, for collecting the sample test from home, we have to pay 300 taka. Privately the sample test fee is three thousand taka. The sample test fee for migrant workers is 300 taka.
Earlier in January, the committee had officially recommended free examination fees.
The meeting discussed the overall coronavirus situation in the country and the contagious situation in neighboring countries.
The statement said, "Although the infection in Bangladesh is declining, the situation in Bangladesh is likely to change due to the infection in India. For this, overall preparation, especially to prevent the oxygen crisis, the necessary measures must be taken. The government's plan in this regard needs to be implemented expeditiously. ”
New strains of coronavirus have been identified in India. If it spreads in Bangladesh, the situation could be critical. Therefore, the National Committee has asked to ensure 14 days formal quarantine for all passengers coming from India.
“Surveillance needs to be strengthened to control entry through the border. No relaxation is desirable in this regard. Ten infected people from India escaped from the hospital and went to different parts of the country. Those who came in contact with them during the movement have to be identified and quarantined. ”
